Position Summary:
This seasonal position offers 30–40 hours per week, including weekends and holidays. The Shoppe Attendant provides courteous, hands-on support across all areas of the Sports Facility—fitness center, tennis courts, pool, and the Pass Club Shoppe. The role also includes assisting the Sports Facility Manager, Director of Tennis, Head Pro, and Massage Therapists with daily operations to ensure a seamless member experience.
Responsibilities:
Laundry Room
Handles collection, washing, folding, and distribution of the Sports Facility and Club laundry. This includes, but is not limited to the following:
Towels for the pool, tennis, fitness room, and fitness classes
Sheets, towels, for massages
Staff aprons
Club, table-skirts, table toppers, and chair cushion covers
Fitness Center/Pool
Assists the Sports Facility Manager with the following:
Recording guest fee charges and overseeing sign-in for Fitness Room
Making appointments for personal training and massage
Assisting members and guests with basic fitness equipment usage
Keeping locker and fitness rooms tidy between cleanings
Cleaning fitness center equipment and vacuuming as needed
Inform the members of the fitness and pool policies and procedures
Restocking towels, and all locker and fitness room supplies
Providing water, cups, ice, and coffee for members and guests
Filling out charge slips for massage daily use
Answering the phone and making calls for classes and appointments
Setting up and putting away equipment (weights, towels, sign-in sheets, music) for the water aerobics classes and recording guest fee charges in the point of sale for water aerobics and fitness classes
Keeping the pool deck organized, clean, arranging pool furniture, and ensuring umbrellas are lowered after members leave the pool
Inform their direct supervisor of any member/guest complaints or suggestions. In the absence of the supervisor, inform the General Manager
Pass Club Shoppe and Tennis
The Shoppe Attendant also supports operations within the Pass Club Shoppe and the tennis program. Under the direction of the Sports Facility Manager, Director of Tennis, and Head Pro, the attendant assists with the following duties:
Promoting and selling shoppe merchandise
Operating the JONAS point of sale system
Taking reservations for tennis courts, lessons, clinics and events
Maintaining and arranging shop displays and merchandise
Answering the shop phone and making calls for tennis and fitness functions
Recording all tennis guest usage and charges
Understanding all tennis court policies and procedures
Cleaning shop and laundry areas
Keeping tennis decks and viewing areas neat
Supplying towels, cups, ice and coffee to members and guests
Assisting with monthly inventory when necessary
Alerting management of any member of guest complaints or requests
Shop Attendant — Seasonal Position
The Shop Attendant plays a key role in delivering exceptional service across all areas of the Sports Facility, including fitness, tennis, and the pool. This is a hands-on, customer-facing role requiring initiative, adaptability, and a consistently positive demeanor.
Position Details:
Type: Hourly, Seasonal (Late October – Mid May)
Schedule: 30–40 hours per week

Primary Responsibilities:
Provide friendly, attentive service to members and guests always
Stay familiar with all operations within the Sports Facility
Assist with daily tasks across fitness, tennis, and pool areas as needed
Maintain a clean, organized, and professional environment
Stay actively engaged and visibly productive throughout the shift
Collaborate with staff and management in a cooperative, team-oriented manner
