Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Thai Cuisine Cook to join our family own restaurant. As a cook, you will play a crucial role in the food preparation process, ensuring that all ingredients are ready for cooking and that our kitchen operates smoothly. This position is ideal for individuals who are enthusiastic about the food industry and have a desire to grow their culinary skills in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
Assist in the preparation of meals by chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients as required.
Ensure all food is prepared according to recipes and quality standards.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and prep areas.
Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the highest standards of hygiene are met.
Support the culinary team during service by helping with plating and presentation of dishes.
Participate in inventory management by tracking supplies and notifying management of low stock levels.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and delivery.
Skills
Experience in Asian cuisine / wok work or restaurant environments is preferred but not required.
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary skills.
Familiarity with dietary department practices is a plus.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with a willingness to help others in the kitchen.
A passion for cooking and a desire to learn more about meal preparation in a professional setting.
