Job DescriptionOur Company SpecialtyRx is a Long-Term Care pharmacy providing pharmaceutical services to long term care facilities and assisted living communities. SpecialtyRx takes pride in delivering personalized care and quality pharmacy services. Responsibilities

Analyze high-cost medication orders and identify areas where cost saving can be achieved through drug interchange while ensuring patient safety.

Make recommendations for therapy changes to the physician and client facilities staff when necessary.

Perform medication review to ensure appropriate use and identify cost saving interventions.

Evaluate medication orders for appropriateness of drug, dosage, potential interactions and proper administration.

Efficiently communicating with Nursing homes and physicians via, phone, fax and email for therapeutic interchange recommendations, and high-cost orders clarifications.

Clinical skills needed: medical history, therapies and laboratory data, etc.

Utilize Microsoft Excel to run hourly reports for dispensed high-cost medication and keep track of potential savings.

Having a desire to get more knowledge about different pharmacy aspects.

Complete any other task assigned by the Cost Containment

Qualifications

Licensed Pharmacist in the State of Florida

Long Term Care experience preferred

Previous experience in Hospital and Retail pharmacy or other medical fields

Strong analytical and critical thinking skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong attention to detail

Strong organizational skills

Microsoft Excel knowledge skills

Framework / ECM software knowledge a plus

Shift:

Part Time: 4:00pm – 9:00pm, Mondays - Fridays with occasional weekends
