Basic Purpose To serve as provider and subject matter expert (SME) for cloud-based Platform and Data Architectures within the Data, Platform and Infrastructure architecture team. To plan, manage and provide guidance for delivering service to the organization. To provide forward-looking, industry perspective and is responsible for the full lifecycle process of the service including definition, execution, and governance. To develop and implement resource strategy for the respective service. The Manager will oversee services with high complexity of low to medium maturity (Service impact - medium to high breadth and depth). Operates with no supervision in a complex environment and serves as a mentor to other Service Managers.

Responsibilities:• Develop and maintain a robust, modular, and scalable data and platform architecture practice• Lead cross functional projects using advanced data modeling and analysis techniques to discover insights that will guide strategic decisions and uncover optimization opportunities• Lead platform architects in designing optimal solutions for anchor platforms and define standards for such delivery• Design and build technical processes to address business issues• Recruit, train, develop and supervise employees• Provide architectural expertise, direction, and assistance to Architecture team, Project Leaders, and leadership from ISD and business areas• Manage and optimize architecture processes for data intake, validation, mining, and engineering as well as modeling, visualization, and communication deliverables• Develop and implement quality controls and departmental standards to ensure quality standards, organizational expectations, and regulatory requirements• Anticipate future demands of initiatives related to people, technology, budget, business within your department and design/implement solutions to meet these needs• Organize and drive successful completion of data and platform initiatives through effective management of architects and effective collaboration with stakeholders• Develop and define clear core work definitions, process flows and operating models; demonstrate the complete life cycle and capabilities of the Service • Guide and analyze benchmarking, trend analysis and other input to drive continuous improvement and elevate service performance • Partner with Enterprise Architects, Solution Architects and technical product/platform owners to determine and define the technical architecture required to implement and support the Service• Build organizational capability by strengthening and adding new capabilities, technical skills, and competencies, and eliminates low-value activity with view to long range goals

Qualifications - All required unless otherwise noted:• 10+ years of management and leadership experience in data and platform architecture• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or the equivalent combination of education, training, and experience • Business knowledge of organization/ functional area• Expert knowledge in NFCU anchor platforms and data architecture practices• Advanced skill developing and implementing programs in a leadership role, providing vision and strategic thinking around a full range of technical decisions and issues • Advanced problem solving, collaboration, critical thinking, team building, and presentation skills• Advanced skill producing desired results and achieving goals and objectives • Significant experience in working with all levels of staff, management, stakeholders, vendors • Advanced skill to focus on multiple priorities and drive solutions in a fast-paced working environment • Advanced skill to effectively communicate technical and non-technical issues and information clearly and concisely to all levels of management and staff • Significant experience in developing high performing teams • Expert verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills •

Desired - Knowledge of NFCU operations, processes and procedures •

Desired - Certification in appropriate area: SAFe, PMP etc.

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00AM - 4:30PM

Salary: $145,200 - $222,600

Navy Federal Credit Union assesses market data to establish salary ranges that enable us to remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range, based on your experience, location and market position.

Navy Federal is now hybrid! Our standard enterprise requirement for a hybrid schedule is to report onsite 4-16 days each month. The number of days reporting onsite will ultimately be determined by the employee's leadership and business unit needs. You will learn more throughout the hiring and onboarding process.
