Job Title: ElectricianJob DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and components, ensuring compliance with specifications and local electrical codes. This role includes working on both commercial and solar projects.Responsibilities
Maintain a clean work area for the installation of equipment.
Plan new or modified installations to minimize waste of materials, consistent with specifications and local electrical codes.
Install controls and distribution gear, such as switches, panel boards, disconnects, and inverters.
Analyze proper fastening systems for equipment support.
Terminate wiring and equipment as per code or job specifications.
Connect power cables to equipment such as disconnects, panel boards, inverters, motors, and transformers per manufacturer specs and permitted drawings.
Prepare sketches showing the location of wiring and equipment, or follow diagrams/blueprints, ensuring that concealed wiring is installed before completion of future walls, ceilings, and flooring.
Test the continuity of circuits to ensure electrical compatibility and safety of components using testing instruments such as an amp probe, clamp meter, and voltage meter.
Observe the functioning of installed equipment or systems to determine hazards and the need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement.
Install all solar-related components, both AC and DC electric, per plans.
Install solar modules and racking per plans.
Essential Skills
Electrical systems knowledge
Experience with conduit bending
Commercial electrical experience (minimum 3+ years)
Proficiency with three-phase wiring
Knowledge of current transformers (CTs)
Experience with generator installation
Ability to work with voltage meters and other electrical testing instruments
Understanding of electrical wiring and low voltage systems
Ability to follow blueprints and electrical diagrams
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with hydraulic benders
Knowledge of explosion prevention fittings
Understanding of transformer terminations
Ability to work with EMT and other conduit types
Strong problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
