Description We are offering an opportunity for a Sr. Accountant to join our team in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. This role is an integral part of our financial team, with responsibilities that include maintaining accurate financial records, reconciling accounts, and preparing financial statements. This position offers a contract to hire employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Reconciling account balances and bank statements, maintaining general ledger and preparing month-end close procedures Performing monthly balance sheet, income statement and changes in financial position/budget variance analyses Utilizing software such as Microsoft Excel, Oracle, SAP, and NetSuite to perform financial computations and create reports Preparing journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations and assisting with monthly close processes Conducting regular ledger maintenance Preparing financial statements and reports for internal use Utilizing Jonas Club Software, if required, to manage club-specific accounting needs Assisting in the preparation of schedules and reports for audit purposes Collaborating with IT staff to maintain financial software and databases Demonstrating a proficient level of professional skill and knowledge in accounting and keeping up-to-date with current developments in the field. Requirements Possession of a minimum of 7 years of experience in the accounting field. Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations. Demonstrable expertise in managing General Ledger and Journal Entries. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Experience in Month End Close procedures. Familiarity with accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP. Proven skills in Financial Statement Preparation. Experience with Jonas Club Software is a plus. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field. CPA certification is highly desirable. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
