About Us:
Ampd Athletics Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering youth through basketball training, mentorship, and leadership programs. We provide athletic development, financial literacy, and life skills training to underserved youth in Central Florida. Our goal is to create transformational experiences for young athletes while preparing them for success beyond the game.
Volunteer Role: Grant & Program Development Assistant
We are seeking passionate and motivated volunteers to support our Executive Director in the development, organization, and implementation of programs that impact youth in our community. This role will also assist in grant writing and submission, helping secure funding for key initiatives, including our traveling boys’ basketball team, mentorship programs, and community outreach events.
Responsibilities:
✅ Assist with grant research, writing, and submission to secure funding for programs.
✅ Support in program organization and development, ensuring effective execution of youth events.
✅ Collaborate with leadership to design and implement new initiatives that align with our mission.
✅ Help manage program logistics, partnerships, and volunteer coordination for events.
✅ Draft proposals and reports for grant applications and community sponsorships.
✅ Provide administrative support in tracking and evaluating program success.
Ideal Candidate:
Passionate about youth development, sports, and community engagement.
Strong writing, communication, and organizational skills.
Experience in grant writing, fundraising, or program coordination (preferred, but not required).
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a nonprofit environment.
Detail-oriented and proactive in identifying funding opportunities.
Comfortable using Microsoft Office, Google Suite, or grant research databases.
