HR Administrator Job Description

Exciting HR Administrator opportunity to support our Human Resources department in a well-established multi office A/E firm that is licensed nationally and is headquartered in Orlando, FL. It is our mission to be present with our employees, and clients, and the HR Administrator a vital role in supporting this goal. The HR Administrator is typically the first point of contact for the HR-related queries from employees and external partners.

Your main administrative duties include maintaining personnel records, managing HR documents (e.g. employment records and onboarding guides) and updating internal databases. Our ideal candidate has experience with HR procedures and can juggle various administrative tasks in a timely manner.

Ultimately, you should be able to ensure our HR department supports our employees while conforming to labor laws.

Job Type:

Full-time - $18.00 to $21.00 /hour

Responsibilities

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

Organize and maintain personnel records

Update internal databases (e.g. record sick or maternity leave)

Prepare HR documents, like employment contracts and new hire guides

Revise company policies

Liaise with external partners, like insurance vendors, and ensure legal compliance

Answer employees queries about HR-related issues

Assist payroll department by providing relevant employee information (e.g. leaves of absence, sick days and work schedules)

Participate in HR projects (e.g. help organize a job fair event)

Requirements

Ideal candidates will have experience demonstrating the following skills and abilities:

Proven work experience as an HR Administrator, HR Administrative Assistant or relevant role

Experience with HR software, like Paylocity.

Computer literacy (MS Office applications, in particular)

Thorough knowledge of labor laws

Excellent organizational skills, with an ability to prioritize important projects

Forward thinking, and self-directed initiative taker

Great organization skills, as well as planning and time management skills

Kind and empathetic communication skills, both verbal and written

BS in Human Resources or relevant field preferred
