A new specialty pharmacy is opening in Orlando, Florida, and we are seeking an experienced Consultant Pharmacist of Record to oversee the pharmacy's permitting and compliance requirements. This role will be critical in ensuring that our pharmacy meets all state and federal regulations to obtain and maintain licensure.
The selected candidate must meet the requirements for a Managing Pharmacist under Florida Board of Pharmacy regulations and will be responsible for overseeing compliance until full operations are launched.
Responsibilities:
Serve as the Pharmacist of Record for state and regulatory purposes
Assist in obtaining and maintaining all necessary pharmacy licenses and permits
Ensure compliance with Florida Board of Pharmacy, DEA, and other regulatory agencies
Develop and implement policies and procedures to maintain regulatory compliance
Provide guidance on specialty pharmacy operations and best practices
Support the transition from permitting phase to full operational status
Requirements:
Must be a licensed Florida Pharmacist in good standing
Must meet all Managing/Consultant Pharmacist requirements for Florida pharmacy permitting
Experience in specialty pharmacy, compounding, or retail pharmacy compliance preferred
Strong knowledge of state and federal pharmacy regulations
Ability to commit to the permitting phase and potentially extend role as needed
Prior experience with pharmacy start-ups or licensing processes is a plus
