Job Summary:
AUE Staffing is seeking an experienced Cook for a group home in Orlando. The Cook will prepare nutritious, balanced meals that meet dietary requirements and ensure food safety, contributing to residents' overall well-being. This role includes meal planning, grocery shopping, and maintaining a clean, organized kitchen.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, prepare, and serve daily meals, adhering to dietary needs and resident preferences.
Ensure meals comply with dietary restrictions, allergies, and medical or religious requirements.
Develop balanced menus approved by the Group Home Manager or nutritionist.
Follow food safety regulations, including proper storage, handling, and preparation.
Manage kitchen inventory, create shopping lists, and purchase groceries within budget.
Qualifications:
Prior cooking experience, preferably in residential or healthcare settings.
Knowledge of nutrition, dietary needs, and food safety standards.
Strong cooking, organizational, and time management skills.
Food Handler’s Permit or ServSafe certification preferred.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
Working Conditions:
Work in a residential kitchen, with flexible hours including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
