TechnicianLocation: Orlando, FL Job ID: #69975 Pay Range: $25-31 Job Overview:

This position will fabricate test equipment that will be used in the development and manufacture of tactical hardware.

The position will be responsible for reading, interpreting, and occasionally correcting engineering drawings/schematics.

The test equipment fabricated can include test sets, test boxes, cables, and other assemblies or subassemblies.

The candidate will be expected to place and solder components on circuit cards and subassemblies.

The fabrication of wiring harnesses will require connector pinning and depinning, and applying mounting hardware.

In addition, these lower level assemblies are to be built-up into single, or multi-bay cabinet assemblies, for the delivery to Engineering or Manufacturing Production areas.

This position will provide the opportunity for the candidate to work as an individual contributor, in a team environment.

This would include collaborating with Engineers, and other members of the Fabrication team including other Fabricators, Draftsmen, Procurement, and Quality Inspectors.

Daily activity would include not only a fast-paced fabrication environment, but it would also include using several computer based programs that will update job status, Quality Inspections, and Engineering changes.

This position is expected to operate under moderate supervision.

This position is a minimum of 40 hours per week commitment with occasional overtime required.

Basic Requirements:

At least 5 years of experience in electrical fabrication (cable and harness, SMT board, test equipment, etc.)

Ability to properly safety wire assemblies and connectors

Ability to solder and repair cables and harnesses

Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of programs

Strong knowledge and experience in repairs of electro-mechanical assemblies

Knowledge basic avionics and electronics

Knowledge of troubleshooting and fault isolation of components using general purpose and/or automated test equipment

Knowledge of automated and/or general-purpose test equipment (oscilloscopes, multi-meters, network analyzers and waveform generators)

Knowledge of the interpretation of engineering drawings, schematics, and test and repair procedures

Ability to fabricate electrical test equipment designs from a blueprint of the layout, schematic, bill of material, and engineering practices manual as guidelines.

Ability to communicate issues with the design and or the process requirements to management and or design engineers.

Familiarity with industrial standards, military specifications and industry processes

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to lift 35 pounds.

Ability to adapt to dynamic and frequently changing customer requirements

Ability to understand policies and procedures for the control of Government property

Ability to work with hazardous materials

High school diploma

Must be US Citizen

Desired Skills

Knowledge of solder certification to J-STD-001, IPC-7711/IPC-7721

Knowledge of fault isolation for electro-mechanical components

Knowledge of concepts for hardware repair.

Experience with CCA component rework and repair

Rework experience with BGAs and electrical maintenance and rework
