Entry-Level Construction Superintendent - Daytona Beach

David Weekley Homes is looking for a residential Construction Superintendent to join our team operating in the surrounding Daytona Beach, FL area. Construction Superintendents are responsible for the planning, scheduling, implementation and coordination of quality-built homes from development through final construction on a timely and economical basis. A successful candidate will be able to deliver a quality home as well as a quality home buying experience.  All Superintendents go through a period of training before taking on the responsibility of building homes.Responsibilities include: Mentoring with tenured construction managers to learn how to effectively oversee the construction process of homes.Learning how to build a home the Weekley Way and communicate with internal and external customers.Understanding each phase of the homebuilding process and sales process as well as OSHA & safety issues.Construct quality homes per Building the Weekley Way standards within a prescribed time schedule while minimizing costs.Schedule, oversee and inspect the quality of the work performed by subcontractors and hold them accountable to David Weekley Homes quality standards.Complete punch sheets, check frame packages, and run final inspection list on homes.Work with sales consultants toward providing homebuyer with the home they want and exceeding expectations.Maintain rapport with the buyers in regard to buyer concerns and options.Maintain a professional, clean and organized job site.Negotiating prices & working with management to establish labor budgets.Managing materials and completing subcontractor payroll.
