Total size of additional driveway is 250 Square feet.
Requirements are:
1. Excavation
Dig out the project area to 6 inches below the current ground level and haul away.
The soil mostly consists of sandy loam and grass.
In areas with tree roots or vegetation, remove these to a depth that allows for a level base for the layers to come.
2. Aggregate Base (We provide aggregate)
Fill the excavated area with aggregate (gravel or crushed stone).
Compact the material in layers until you reach a final depth of 4 inches.
Use a compactor to achieve 95% of the maximum dry density, confirmed by a Proctor test.
3. Sand Layer (We provide sand)
Spread a layer of sand evenly over the compacted aggregate base.
Level it and compact it to 95% of its maximum dry density, just like the base layer.
This creates a smooth, stable bedding for the pavers.
