Diesel and Dump Truck Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Diesel & Dump Truck Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical and electrical (DC) knowledge, experience working with heavy equipment, and strong troubleshooting skills. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines and related systems for various types of machinery used in construction and other industries. The Diesel & Dump Truck Mechanic will play a crucial role in ensuring that our fleet operates efficiently and safely.

Duties:

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, including those in dump trucks, water trucks, and bulldozers.

Diagnose mechanical issues using appropriate tools and techniques to ensure timely repairs.

Conduct inspections of heavy equipment to identify potential problems before they escalate.

Collaborate with team members on construction sites to ensure machinery is operational for building projects.

Operate heavy equipment as needed to assist in repairs or testing after maintenance work is completed.

Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance performed on each piece of equipment.

Follow safety protocols while working on construction sites and operating machinery.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or similar role with a focus on heavy equipment operation (3 year experience minimum)

Strong mechanical & electrical (DC) knowledge, particularly with Caterpillar machinery and other diesel engines.

Strong troubleshooting skills.

Welding is not a requirement but preferred.

Experience operating various types of heavy equipment, including bulldozers and dump trucks.

Ability to work effectively in a construction site environment, demonstrating safety awareness at all times.

Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) is preferred but not required.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently with little supervision as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Full-time
