Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Carpenter/Laborer to join our client in the modular home manufacturing industry. The Carpenter will be responsible for hanging and finishing drywall, as well as assembling and installing roofing systems within our warehouse facility. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in drywall installation, finishing, and roofing assembly, along with a strong work ethic and teamwork skills.
Duties
Measure, cut, and install drywall panels for modular home units.
Apply drywall finishing techniques, including mudding, taping, and sanding, to ensure a smooth and professional appearance.
Assemble and install roofing structures, including trusses, sheathing, and shingles, according to blueprints and project specifications.
Use hand and power tools to shape, cut, and secure materials.
Inspect work to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
Collaborate with other team members to complete projects efficiently and on schedule.
Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work instructions accurately.
Experience
Proven experience as a Carpenter with expertise in drywall installation, finishing, and roofing.
Strong knowledge of drywall materials, textures, and finishing techniques.
Familiarity with roofing structures and installation processes.
Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.
Ability to lift and carry heavy materials and work in various positions.
