Position Summary
As a Biohazard Remediation Technician at A1 Biohazard, you’ll be on the front lines of crisis response and cleanup. You will handle remediation of traumatic scenes including suicides, homicides, unattended deaths, accidents, bodily fluids (blood, feces, urine, vomit), and environmental damage (floods, mold). This work is often physically demanding and emotionally intense, ideal for professionals with strong stomachs, calm nerves, and a high sense of integrity and duty.
You’ll start with hourly training pay and transition to per-call commission after certification. Most full-time technicians earn over $1,000 per week. Company vehicles, gas cards, PPE, and safety gear are provided.
Key Responsibilities
Remediate trauma and crime scenes, biological hazards, and contamination (e.g. blood, bodily fluids, feces, urine, vomit)
Respond to calls in institutional settings: jails, police stations, medical transports, etc.
Light demolition and property restoration as needed
Pick up and manage regulated medical waste
Maintain inventory of equipment and PPE
Assist with cleaning and maintaining work vehicles and facility
Complete and submit detailed written job documentation after each call
Requirements
Must be 25+ years old
Must have valid Driver’s License and clean Motor Vehicle Record
Must pass a criminal background check (we work in law enforcement settings)
Must live locally and be able to respond promptly to dispatch
Must be able to work night shifts (7pm–7am), weekends, and be on-call 3–4 shifts/week
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and wear full PPE for extended periods
Comfortable in high-stress environments with strong sensory tolerance (sights, smells, scenes)
High School Diploma or GED preferred
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow SOPs
Prior experience in janitorial, hospital sanitation, first responder work, auto detailing, property maintenance, or construction is a plus
Compensation & Benefits
Hourly pay during training, then commission per call

Shift & Availability
