We are currently seeking a motivated and energetic Orthodontic Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate is a team player, takes initiative, and enjoys working with patients of all ages in a positive, patient-focused environment.
Compensation: Competitive salary based on experience.
Orthodontic Assistant job description and duties include the following:
Lab Experience PLUS (Fabrication of Hawley Retainers, Essix Retainers, ABPs, RPEs etc.)
Communication skills and being able to educate the patient on oral healthcare are vital.
Charting of patient information (Software: Tops Ortho)
Taking Digital X-Rays
Taking Diagnostic Photos
Taking Impressions
Performing Orthodontic Adjustments
Preparing Teeth for Bonding and Debanding
Sterilizing instruments and work chair/space
Fixed Retainer fabrication and cementation
Fabrication of Essix retainers and any additional Lab experience is a PLUS
Digial Scans (iTerro Element)
Invisalign Experience a Plus
Please note that the above is only several tasks to be performed by Orthodontic Assistant. Your daily duties are not limited to the above.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
High School +
Orthodontic Assistant Certification is valued but NOT a requirement.
Orthodontic Assistant Experience is a PLUS
Preferred Skills
Must be able to communicate in English.
Office Hours (25-30 hours a week avg.)
Monday 10:00am - 7:00pm
Tuesday 8:30am - 6:00pm
Wednesday 8:30am - 6:00pm
Friday 12:30pm - 5:30pm
