The Senior Philanthropy Officer oversees major gift fundraising functions for assigned divisions, including the development and execution of solicitation strategies, cultivation of relationships with high potential donors, and hosting of events. Moreover, the incumbent formulates programs for major and special gifts process documentation and improvement.CORE JOB FUNCTIONS
Provides professional fundraising services and support to other divisions, departments, and centers.
Develops fundraising budgets and revenue projections.
Tracks and monitors the emerging prospect pool to develop reports and monitor program results.
Builds and adapts programs to a point of sustainability.
Sets benchmarks and strategies to meet revenue and activity metrics.
Delivers expert counsel to leadership regarding major gift and volunteer development strategies.
Monitors, evaluates, and reports on progress and outcomes against goals.
Administers a personal portfolio with revenue and activity goals.
Establishes and continuously assesses the effectiveness of the internal controls within the unit and compliance with University policies and procedures.
Ensures employees are trained on controls within the function and on University policy and procedures.

Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field is required
Minimum 7 years of relevant experience
