Accounting Clerk

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented and diligent Accounting Clerk to join our accounting department. The Accounting Clerk will be responsible for performing daily accounting tasks which will support our financial team. These tasks include managing expense reports, statements, and invoices, entering financial transactions into our databases, and reconciling invoices. The successful candidate must be able to handle numerical data accurately and possess a strong understanding of basic accounting principles.Responsibilities:

Prepare and process invoices, bills, and payments, ensuring all details are accurate.

Maintain and manage company ledgers by entering and updating financial data.

Coordinate internal and external audits and provide necessary financial information and documentation.

Support processing of transactions and track expenses, income, tax compliance, and profits.

Perform account reconciliations regularly, highlighting any discrepancies.

Support the accounting department by performing clerical tasks, including processing and recording transactions, preparing reports, and maintaining financial records.

Assist with budget preparation and financial planning processes.

Respond to information requests, review financial statements, and assist with audits.

Ensure adherence to all company's internal policies and relevant legal rules.

Communicate with clients to track pending payments and resolve any bill discrepancies.

Qualifications:

Degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field.

Proven accounting experience, ideally as an Accounts Receivable Clerk or Accounts Payable Clerk.

Familiarity with general accounting principles.

Good knowledge of MS Office and accounting software.

Excellent data entry skills along with a good understanding of basic accounting principles.

Strong detail orientation and analytical skills.

Ability to manage and prioritize tasks and deadlines, and to work accurately under pressure.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.
