Sr. Financial Analyst

OverviewProvides advanced level expertise to prepare financial analysis, metrics and reports and complete special projects as required. Job Highlights(The ideal candidate must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation)

Prepares financial analyses, including trending, productivity metrics, revenue cycle, and other ad hoc projects, as well as financial reports and graphic presentations.

Reviews existing methods for extracting, analyzing, and presenting data through project completion.

Maintains a thorough understanding of the company’s financial information system, including the ability to write financial reports and make inquiries for data.

Responds to financial surveys on a monthly, quarterly, annual, or ad hoc basis.

Handles confidential material on a regular basis and is responsible for protecting the confidentiality of such information.

Organizes individual work schedule and establishes priorities for the completion of projects within guidelines from management.

Provides additional back up for payroll monthly reconciliations.

Performs additional duties, as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or related area required, Master’s preferred.

Three years of analytical experience with a master’s degree or 8 years of analytical experience with a bachelor’s degree required.

Three to five years healthcare experience preferred.

Proficient PC skills, specifically in Excel and Access are required.

Two years of experience with SQL and VBA programming preferred. C sharp experience is a plus.

Must possess superior analytical abilities, including the ability to identify issues, problems, and solutions.

Superior mathematical aptitude, including the ability to build formulas for performing analysis required.

Excellent oral and written communications skills.

Ability to work independently and under deadlines, demonstrating solid professional judgment.

Knowledge of organization policies, procedures, and systems preferred.

Knowledge of office management practices and accounting procedures.

Strong computer skills including MS Excel, MS Word, MS Access.

Skill in verbal and written communication.

Proficient in gathering and reporting information.

Ability to work effectively and independently with staff, physicians and external customers.

Communicate well with the public.

Ability to read, write and speak English.
