Description We are providing an opportunity for a proficient Accountant to join our team in Maitland, Florida. As an Accountant, your role will encompass a variety of accounting tasks, including managing various accrual accounts, handling payment processing and payroll allocations, as well as ensuring compliance with accounting regulations. This role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity.Responsibilities Responsible for the effective management of AP and UM accruals, alongside the entry of PTO and payroll accruals as necessary Oversee payroll entries, time log allocations, and grant allocations for all payroll periods Ensure the timely and accurate submission of monthly and quarterly reconciliations and reports Carry out all journal entries within a day of receipt into the software system Handle the management of miscellaneous accounts such as postage, mobile fingerprinting, deposits, gifts in kind, donated services, and NCIE support unit rate billing Act as a backup for other Accountant positions when required Fulfill other incidental or related duties as assigned, including the assistance and training of others, and performing duties of higher rated positions from time to time for developmental purposes.Requirements Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or a related field. Prior experience in Nonprofit Accounting preferred. Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems. Experience with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning. Solid understanding of Accounting Functions. Hands-on experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR). Proven knowledge and experience in Auditing. Ability to manage Balance Sheet Accounts. Familiarity with Accrual Accounting. Experience in handling Payroll. Demonstrated ability in Financial Reconciliation. Experience in Monthly Reconciliation.
