Job Posting: Industrial PainterSalary: Minimum $19.00- $25.00/hrSchedule: Monday - Friday, 5:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. (with potential for overtime)Job Summary:We are seeking a skilled Industrial Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying paint and surface preparations to our equipment and products while adhering to safety protocols.Key Responsibilities:
Spray surfaces of Merrick equipment and manufactured products with required paint and surface prep.
Utilize various paint systems, including PPG and DuPont (wet paint system).
Ensure proper spraying and coating with specified mils and sheen.
Follow instructions for hazardous waste containment and disposal.
Prepare surfaces for painting, including cleaning and taping.
Select and mix coatings to achieve desired colors.
Adjust sprayer for optimal width and pressure.
Use brushes for areas that are inaccessible to hand sprayers.
Clean spraying equipment and brushes with solvents.
Perform additional related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum 6 months of relevant experience in industrial painting.
Ability to pass requirements to wear a powered air purifying respirator.
Strong understanding of safety protocols and commitment to workplace safety.
Punctual and ready to work as scheduled.
