Works with the Medical Director to develop long and short-term objectives for services consistent with the

philosophy and mission of the program and in compliance with all Department of Health guidelines.Participates in grant writing, contract negotiation and/or re-accreditation as needed.

Develops and recommends strategic and operational plans and operating policies in a cost-effective and

customer-oriented manner. Implements endorsed actions and policies and monitors progress.

Oversees, analyzes and prepares the monthly, quarterly and annual reports for the Child Protection Team,

including accumulating and verifying the number of referrals, forensic and specialized interviews, forensicmedical examinations, personal contacts, advocacy, performance measures as defined in the contractstandards, demographic statistics and services per county. Also oversees other programs as specified bythe Division Chief.

Acts as Liaison with community agencies, including Department of Children and Families (DCF), local law

enforcement, the State Attorney’s Office, and other partners. Attends protocol, task force and othercommunity meetings and participates in the developmental of recommendations, ensuring consistencywith the program requirements and providing education and training internally to ensure collaboration.

Reviews and monitors case files for both internal and external quality assurance standards. Ensures that

all documentation and reports are completed in a professional and timely manner. Directly assist withcasework, as needed, and provides support with in-crisis or problem cases.

Recruits, supervises and trains team members to ensure compliance with University, Department of

Health, Department of Children and Families, and other requirements including background/safetychecks, annual requirements and adherence to company policy.

Delivers timely and effective communication through regular team meetings.

Provides highly skilled forensic interviews of child victims of suspected abuse, siblings of victims, or

witness of abuse, family violence, or other crimes in a lead capacity. Obtains medical and psychosocialinformation regarding active investigations of suspected child maltreatment and developsrecommendations for the immediate needs of the child and family, as well as the long-term needs andsafety of the child. Follows child through the process of intake, interview, and medical exams andcoordinates case activities, working closely with the Florida Department of Children & Families, local lawenforcement, and the State Attorney’s Office, to facilitate communication between organizationsresponsible for the investigation of child abuse allegations.

Attends all initial fatality staffings for child deaths alleged to have been from abuse/neglect. Coordinates

client services and referrals to community agencies: surviving sibling medical examinations, participatesin initial fatality staffings and participates in the developments of recommendations. Provide CPT MedicalImpressions to Community Partners.

Participates in 24-hour rotation on-call coverage including nights, weekends and holidays as needed.

Assists, as needed in the development of the on-call schedule, providing clinical direction, overseeingcase reviews, etc. Completes comprehensive, written assessments and submits reports to the protectiveinvestigators within the time frames consistent with program requirements and best practiceExpected Salary:$65,000 to $75,000 annually depending on education and experience.Minimum Requirements:Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Preferred Qualifications:

BA or MA in Human Services field, Psychology, Social work, Nursing or another behavioral science.

At least 3 years of post-bachelor experience in the field of child abuse and neglect, one of which must have been in program management.

Meets requirements as specified in Florida Administrative rule, 64-C-8.002(2)-(b), Team Coordinator qualifications will include at least one year of experience in Child Protection Services (Child Protective Investigations, Community Base Care Case Management, Child Protection Teams).

Determined to be a qualified expert n the child abuse field by either a dependency court or State Attorney's Office. Demonstrated skills in generating psychosocial reports, public speaking, networking with the community of law enforcement, DCF and victim serving agencies and able to multi-task regarding scheduling and dealing with emergency crisis situations.
