Analyzes, designs, implements, and maintains systems technology needed to automate business processes. Provides planning and guidance on systems technology. Develops integration plans using new and existing infrastructure, systems and operations. Provides assistance to the development and operations teams by making sound recommendations regarding infrastructure and system platforms as well as the integration of information technology systems. Duties and Responsibilities
- Defines the tactical and strategic infrastructure and systems technology architecture by Investigating, analyzing, developing, and documenting alternatives and plans for technology. This includes physical/virtual servers, storage area networks, server backup infrastructure, and cloud services.
- Evaluates new or state-of-the-art hardware and software products and operating systems, cloud services and determine if the technology meets standards and will not adversely impact network resources. Oversees system standards and provide technical recommendations to highly complex infrastructures, cloud or systems solutions.
- Coordinates the implementation of systems technology, provides senior level troubleshooting of ongoing problems, and coordinates the appropriate resources to attain timely resolutions including capacity planning.
- Monitors performance of systems technology by utilizing systems management tools to produce regular ongoing performance reports, and makes recommendations to avoid degradation of performance below pre-established acceptable levels.
- Maintains an up-to-date awareness of technological and regulatory issues.
- Functions as an expert consultant to business lines and clubs, when applicable, to analyze their needs and recommend the most effective integrated plans and solutions.
- Assists Association committees and teams in defining tactical and strategic technology to include system platforms, systems security, hardware and software, and other components for Association and National Office use.
- Documents and maintains current systems virtual architectures and services
- Produces white papers, executive summaries, and technical summaries covering systems platforms and connectivity architectures. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field and six (6) to eight (8) years experience in the integration of systems technology platforms, operating systems and development tools
- Certifications Preferred: Microsoft MCSE; Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) and VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
- Ability to provide timely, high quality and professional support for the resolution of highly technical and/or business problems
- Proven experience in developing superior technology solutions, products, services or procedures
