POSITION TITLE: PRODUCTION LEAD (CREW LEAD)2nd shift M-F 1p to 9:30 or 1:30p to 10P (OT to 12a) 3rd shift M-F 9p to 5:30a (OT depends on need)ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for effectively lead & support team members to adhere to the WestRock Policies and guidelines.Support supervisor on all training is executed, recorded, and completed on timeComplete safety incident(s) report must be completed by end of shift and turned in within 24 hours from the incident.Read & interpret instructions on the job jacket to ensure all finishing, packaging, and shipping specs are correct.Must meet the company’s quality and production standards.Maintain department cleanliness through good housekeeping practices.Quality non-conformance completed accurately, reconciled, and completed by end of shift.Ensure the department follows, documents, and implements the SQF standards for equipment, tool, and temporary fixes.Performance:Must relay daily instruction through the communication board to the team to meet shift and daily team goals.Ensure audits are completed for the department(s) on time.Support identifying, coordinating, when possible, conducting the necessary training for team members.Responsible for reviewing and maintaining downtime from the shift(s).Complete and accurately communicate daily shift reports.Assign production schedules to ensure the production needs are metResponsible for maintaining and reconciling finished goods on shift.Generate ideas and implement changes to improve safety, and quality, reduce labor costs and improve team member morale.Update KPI metricsJOB SPECIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Managing projects and teams - leadership or mentoring experience would be a clear advantage for this role. Ability to read, write & understand basic English. Able to communicate effectively.REASONING ABILITY: Job requires making decisions based on established guidelines regarding running or shutting down on defective work and operational problems/difficulties of all kinds.PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
