Basic Job Description:
- Coordinate and schedule transportation activities for efficient delivery of concrete and materials
- Communicate with drivers, customers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate delivery
- Utilize transportation management systems, online calendar and GPS system to schedule and monitor work flow
- Plan and optimize transportation routes to minimize costs and maximize efficiency
- Perform data entry tasks to input and update shipment details in the system
- Collaborate with intercompany departments for procedural compliance
- Monitor activities to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
Skills:
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with drivers, customers, and other team members
- Proficiency in using transportation management systems and Google docs preferred.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively
- Attention to detail to accurately input and update information in the system
- Knowledge of transportation planning principles and practices to optimize routes and minimize costs
- Experience in data entry to efficiently handle large volumes of information
- Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes in a logistics or transportation environment
- Bilingual a plus
