Position Title: HVAC/R Install Lead (4+ Yrs. Experience), Sign-On Bonus
Overview:
The HVAC/R Install Lead oversees and executes the installation of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems for residential and commercial projects. This role requires hands-on expertise, leadership, and meticulous coordination to ensure installations are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. The Install Lead is responsible for managing on-site teams, ensuring code compliance, client satisfaction, and seamless project delivery from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise, train, and mentor installation crews on-site to ensure consistent quality and adherence to company standards.
Interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and job specifications to plan project installations.
Perform advanced HVAC/R system installations including ductwork, refrigeration piping, controls, and equipment start-ups.
Coordinate scheduling with project managers, clients, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure timely job progression.
Conduct quality control checks throughout the installation process and troubleshoot issues in real time.
Verify compliance with local, state, and federal building and safety codes.
Maintain accurate installation records, timesheets, material usage, and change orders.
Serve as the on-site liaison for clients, ensuring a professional experience and clear communication throughout the project.
Ensure proper use and maintenance of tools, equipment, and materials by team members.
Promote a culture of safety, cleanliness, and efficiency on every job-site.
Qualifications:
4+ years of HVAC/R installation experience, with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
Proven experience installing a variety of systems including split, mini-split, and package units. Refrigeration / ice machines experience will be beneficial.
Strong understanding of mechanical codes, blueprint reading, and industry best practices.
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to lift 50+ lbs, work in confined spaces and heights, and operate tools and machinery safely.
