Description We are seeking an Entry Level Accountant for a role in the Higher Education industry based in Kendall, Florida. This role focuses on cash management and requires strong technical skills, with a particular emphasis on Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. The successful candidate will be responsible for reconciling accounts and conducting audits, as well as having a solid understanding of Accounts Payable (AP).Responsibilities: Manage cash accounts and ensure all transactions are accurately recorded Perform account reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies Conduct regular audits to verify the accuracy of financial data Utilize Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook to maintain records and communicate information Apply knowledge of accounting software/ERP in day-to-day tasks Communicate effectively with team members and other departments both verbally and in writing Demonstrate ability to multitask and prioritize workload effectively Continually learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment Utilize strong technical skills to enhance efficiency and accuracy in work Maintain a high level of detail-orientation to ensure accuracy in tasks. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Knowledge and understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) Proficiency in account reconciliation and financial reporting Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines Previous experience or coursework in accounting is preferred but not required Willingness to continuously learn and adapt to new accounting practices and standards Familiarity with accounting software is a plus.
