Solar Project Management ConsultantJob DescriptionWe are seeking highly organized and proactive Solar Project Management Consultants to take ownership of assigned solar projects. You will work collaboratively with your Regional Lead to manage projects through various stages, ensuring they are technically feasible, commercially supported, financially viable, and adhere to project timelines. This position is working with one of the largest utilities in the world and will be directly supporting a highly innovative renewable team. This a great opportunity for someone with early career experience to gain relevant Project Management skills in a growing field and advance their Project Management career path within a reputable organization.Responsibilities
Take ownership of assigned solar projects, collaborating with your Regional Lead to manage projects through Screening and Early-Stage Pipeline processes.
Deliver technically feasible, schedule-appropriate, commercially supported, and financially viable projects.
Analyze technical and financial data, extrapolating notable variables, indicators, and trends.
Create, manage, and take ownership of assigned solar project capital budgets.
Serve as development and permitting support, coordinate with and leverage subject matter experts, facilitate engineering, and engage in problem resolution.
Support capital budget activities through approvals, develop viable construction plans/schedules, support negotiations and execution of commercial contracts, and investigate optimization opportunities.
Utilize various software applications to support project activities, manage critical data, and deliverables.
Communicate and interface with Executive Leadership with the support of your Regional Lead.
Perform all other daily tasks required by the Regional Lead to maintain overall group organization, data deliverables, team readiness, and project viability.
Essential Skills
Bachelor of Science in Business, Finance, Accounting, or Engineering
Ability to manage a fast-paced, high-stress environment
Capable of working independently with limited direction
Highly organized with a proactive attitude
Preferred Experience
Strong financial and data analysis skillset.
Mechanical awareness and interest in technical variables.
Experience in construction, energy industry, or solar is a plus.
Strong interest in career growth within project management.
Familiarity with software like MS Excel, GIS, the person, CAD is a plus.
Work EnvironmentThis person will work in a corporate environment and should be located near Juno Beach, FL. Pay is listed as approximately $80/hour, but will depend entirely on previous relevant experience. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $83.00 - $88.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
