- Primary onsite contact point for all matters relating to day-to-day service delivery and supply/demand primarily from a contract performance point of view in the Network Operations Service Area
- Responsible for technical and managerial leadership in establishment of goals and priorities, design, project planning, day-to-day operation, maintenance, and advanced troubleshooting of enterprise-wide telecommunications infrastructure, including telephones, voicemail, Unified Communications, network WAN/LAN routing, switching, cabling and wiring
- Provides content on matters pertaining to managed services operational changes impacting the organization
- Ensures availability, stability & reliability of networks.
- Responsible for planning and scheduling network and telecommunication system upgrades
- Respond to network/ telecommunication requests, make recommendations for improving system performance, and serve as troubleshooter on major telecommunications and network issues
- Strengthen the security posture of network and advise other SMEs and customer of steps to take to mitigate security threats
- Responsible for managing the security of the network using best practices and security standards. Conducts and participates in network security audits
- Respond to internal/external requests regarding network expansion and additional services
- Works with other towers/departments to develop annual budget which will include requests for new equipment, applications, refreshes of existing equipment (routers, switches, servers, appliances, storage, telephony, and security initiatives)
- Provides direction, procedures and security backdrop for supporting a mobile workforce. Administers VPN infrastructure
- Maintains up-to-date accurate documentation of the enterprise network.
- Manage 24 x 7 network operation teams ensuring optimal network performance including monitoring, surveillance, troubleshooting and restoration
- Develops and implements network back-up and disaster recovery strategies, policies, and procedures by determining back-up schedules and retention periods of back-ups, archiving back-ups, and determining off-site storage for back-ups
- Implements and monitors security practices, policies, and procedures which include generating and reviewing network logs to determine health of network, security breaches, mail delivery status, back-up and restore successes and failures, and determining corrective actions to rectify failures and inconsistencies
- Consult and advises technical SMEs to resolve customer’s problems and offer solutions
- Monitor the Progress, Deadlines, and Delivery of Multiple Projects / Programs, to ensure successful delivery
- Handle Project Escalations, Resolve Issues, and take Corrective Actions if required
- Manage the Program Budget and Ensure Timely Delivery of Project Deliverables
- Conduct Meetings with Project Managers/ Technical Leads/ Tech Teams, to discuss Project Design Plan, Project Implementation Plan, Daily Progress, Challenges, and Resolution Plans
- Conduct Workshops on Multiple Projects with Application Teams, Infrastructure Teams and Business Stake Holders, to align everyone with the Project Impact, Progress and Delivery
- Track and report service level agreements (SLAs) and monitors progress toward key service delivery performance indicators (KPI’s)
