Full Time

The LEAD Marine team aims to build trusting partnerships with candidate seeking long term opportunities in the ship building and ship repair industries nationwide. We work with some of the large international defense contractors and private yards and will leverage your work experience to match your skills with the right company.

$26.00- $28.00/hour depending on experience

Open to all shifts

Our client is hiring experienced Machinist for a large and growing ship repair company based in Florida.

-Responsibilities:

1. Machinists will be responsible for setting up and operating vertical and horizontal lathes and mills.

2. Machine parts for new ship construction.

3. Reviews drawings, instructions, blueprints or samples to ensure accurate production.

4. Select appropriate machine and settings for a given task.

-Requirements:

1. Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, drawings and schematics.

2. Machinists must be able to use and set up portable and fixed machine tools such as boring bars, milling machines, drill presses, lathes, hand and power tools. Candidates must be able to use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, height gauge, depth gauge, micrometers and tape measures.

3. Candidates must be able to work as part of a team and may be asked to work weekends and overtime.

4. Must be able and willing to work onboard ships under construction.
