RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Keep the shop clean and free from debris, including machinery
· Assist tradesmen as needed (e.g. lifting, loading)
· Handle and transport materials and equipment (e.g. tools and fixtures)
· Use power tools and machinery (e.g. forklifts) when needed
· Follow instructions from supervisors to perform manual labor tasks (e.g. sweep, empty trash, stacking up goods, helping install items on site)
· Report issues with equipment or unsafe conditions
· Duties as assigned by shop foreman
REQUIREMENTS:
· Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (standing for long periods of time, lifting heavy loads of up to 50 pounds etc.)
· Good hand-eye coordination
· Familiarity with power tools and machinery is a plus
· Communication and teamwork skills
· Commitment to safety rules
· Cabinet shop experience preferred, but not necessary
