Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Driver and Mover to join our team at New Chapters, a fully licensed and insured, reputable Florida moving company. As a Driver and Mover, you will be responsible for safely transporting and handling our clients' belongings while providing exceptional customer service.
The ideal candidate should have prior experience in moving, packing, and/or transportation, along with excellent driving skills and a strong work ethic. This position offers $20-30 per hour depending on experience, as well as additional perks and bonus offerings.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate company vehicles, including trucks and vans, in compliance with all traffic and safety regulations.
- Load, unload, and transport customers' furniture, boxes, and other items to and from specified locations.
- Pack and protect items securely to prevent damage during transportation.
- Assist customers with packing and unpacking belongings as needed.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing any concerns or inquiries professionally and courteously.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth and efficient moving processes.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of company vehicles and equipment.
- Adhere to scheduled routes and timelines to ensure timely delivery of items.
- Follow company policies and procedures, including safety protocols, at all times.
- Keep accurate records of mileage, hours worked, and any incidents or damages that occur during transportation.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in moving, packing, and/or transportation.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Familiarity with local traffic regulations and routes.
- Ability to lift heavy items (up to 100 pounds) and perform physical tasks associated with moving.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and overtime as required.
