Description We are seeking a Financial Analyst to join our team in the non-profit industry based in Jacksonville, Florida. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity where you will be providing financial support to various divisions within the organization. As a Financial Analyst, you will be tasked with transforming data, updating forecasts, assisting with requests, and developing the annual budget among other responsibilities.Responsibilities: Collaborate with department leaders to drive financial strategies and decisions. Transform raw data into organized information to aid in decision-making processes. Regularly update monthly financial forecasts to ensure accuracy and relevance. Create and distribute summaries of expense variances to improve transparency and understanding. Assist in evaluating headcount and expense requests to ensure efficient resource allocation. Analyze vendors and invoices to make accurate financial projections. Work closely with the accounting department, providing general ledger coding as needed. Review general ledger and identify needs for expense reclassification. Develop the annual budget in line with the organization's strategic objectives. Prepare and deliver financial presentations to communicate financial performance and projections. Provide ad hoc analysis as needed to support strategic decision making. Requirements Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a financial analyst role, preferably within the non-profit sector Proficient in the use of Accounting Software Systems Familiar with ADP - Financial Services Experience using CRM systems Knowledge of Crystal Reports and Data Mining Techniques Ability to perform various Accounting Functions Understanding of Accrual Accounting Experience in Auditing Familiarity with Budget Processes Understanding of Capital Management Proficiency in Epicor software Ability to perform Ad Hoc Financial Analysis Experience in Budgeting and Budgeting - Forecasting Skilled in managing Expense Budget and Department Budget Familiarity with Budget Management Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is preferred Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills Strong communication and presentation skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
