Notary Public On-The-Go:
Working in an office is not always the most appealing nor the most convenient for some. Not everyone can or wants to work the average 9am-5pm job. That being said, the on-the-go notary public position has its perks and mandatory prerequisites. The title of the position "Notary Public On-The-Go" is the best way to describe what we do in a few words, but we'd like to explain in more detail so you're sure of what our needs are before applying for this position and also so you can determine if this is the job for you.
We are a team of people that communicate through emails to provide our public notary services to local accident attorneys. We are responsible for contacting potential clients, meeting with them asap, performing the first investigation, filling out a detailed intake, getting various signatures and authorizations including power of attorney. Delivering and working in a very timely manner, constantly answering emails, asking lots of detailed questions and helping the potential client explain what happened to the best of their knowledge and then successfully communicating said accident information with the attorney office. We provide service to one specific law firm but we do not work directly for them. (1099 Employee )
You must love to drive and have a reliable vehicle, love to meet with people face-to-face, have great body language, be charismatic, be bilingual (English/Spanish) must (speak, read & write), quick learner, move efficiently from place to place (punctuality is a must), be flexible with clients and their requests upon setting up meeting (time & place), constantly follow-up to prevent fall through between potential clients.
With the above information on what we are responsible for we also need potential employee to have certain tools to be able to perform all of these tasks successfully.
The potential employee must have their own vehicle and it must be reliable. Must have their own phone where they can be reached when needed. Must have their own iPad (Apple), have a source to print (power of attorney individual sheets), a headset (ex: bluetooth or wired) to drive safely among others while possibly taking calls. All electronics must be charged at all times (no excuses). Must be flexible about driving distances and possibly going through tolls (depending on your area). We provide services locally but do cover large areas, please keep in mind that in order to avoid confusion you must have designated days that you are completely available to work. We require that you are available from 8:00am to respond emails, call potential clients, set-up or follow-up with clients for meetings. Your work day will end when the last meeting scheduled for the day has been completed and the end of day (daily list) has been submitted via e-mail.
To summarize as a "Public Notary On-The-Go" your office is your home and your vehicle. You are able to contact clients from wherever you are, but are also required to be ready to go as soon as a potential client says they are available to meet. This is a great position if you like to travel locally and if you are interested in working office hours plus more yet not in an office environment or in an office building.
