Marine construction company seeking Heavy Equipment Mechanic.
Successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a variety of heavy equipment used in marine construction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on heavy machinery, including but not limited to excavators, cranes, skid steers, tugboat(s), pile driving equipment.
- Inspect equipment for mechanical issues and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel engine problems.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance schedules.
Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Able to lift heavy tools and parts and work in a physically demanding environment.
- Able to weld and fabricate as required.
