Job Summary:
Under general supervision, you’ll fabricate and prepare custom structures using a variety of materials including wood, acrylic, and plastics. Projects are often custom-built and headed for field installations — so precision, craftsmanship, and a strong work ethic are key.
Primary Responsibilities:
Fabricate custom elements using wood, metal, acrylic, and other materials.
Cut, shape, and assemble components using tools like planers, jointers, shapers, routers, sanders, and various saws.
Prepare structures for finishing by planing, shaping, and sanding with both hand and power tools.
Read and interpret plans, shop drawings, and sketches to execute custom fabrication.
Determine dimensions and material types based on project specs.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Assist with general carpentry duties as needed.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in carpentry or custom fabrication.
Strong knowledge of carpentry tools, machines, and shop safety.
Ability to read and work from blueprints and technical drawings.
Experience with layout for construction, alterations, or custom builds.
Physically capable of lifting materials, operating equipment, and wearing PPE as required.
CNC Router experience is a strong plus (but not required).
