Low Voltage Technician - Lead Installer

We are seeking a career-oriented technician with a great attitude and excellent technical skills. We need a LEAD tech that fully understands custom home theaters, digital surveillance equipment, lighting controls, smart home technology, shading, and low voltage.

Candidates must have at least 3 years of uninterrupted experience in the Home Automation Industry and be able to provide references from their previous employer.

You'll note that this position is for a LEAD tech; that means not only will you have to know what you're doing, but you'll have to be able to organize other team members to work with you to accomplish objectives.

We are looking for someone who can do some of the following:

· Proficient with the installation of TVs, projectors, speakers, racks, and rack equipment

· Install and configure audio, video, intelligent lighting, and networking systems.

· Ability to use hand and power tools safely and efficiently.

· Perform all tasks required for cabling installation, including Cat5e/6/7, RG6, and audio cabling.

· Able to lift up to 60 lbs, move through tight spaces, and use tools while climbing ladders.

· Basic computer knowledge

· Understand construction Low Voltage System blueprints and symbols

· Knowledge of complex wiring configurations and/or signal flow for audio, video, control, network

· Understanding and ability to use specific test equipment for required applications (multi-meter, cabling toner, wire testers, etc.)

· Knowledge and application of installation safety codes and standards

· Ability to lead site teams on smaller-sized projects

· Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems related to audio-visual equipment

· Ability to troubleshoot equipment and provide timely solutions

Requirements:

· Experience in Audiovisual, Voice/Data, Security & CCTV cabling and components installation

· Crestron / Savant / Lutron / Control4 experience preferred (no programming skills needed)

· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

· Ability to work in a team or independently and be a self-motivator
