We are seeking a highly organized and motivated individual to join our team as a Dump Truck Dispatcher. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating the daily operations of dump trucks, ensuring timely delivery of materials, and maintaining excellent communication with drivers and customers. This position involves managing schedules, answering multiple phone calls, taking new orders, writing new orders, monitoring deliveries, and providing exceptional customer service. Here are some roles involved in this position, but do not limit additional tasks that may unexpectedly occur.
Key Responsibilities:
1 . Dispatching and Scheduling:
a. Assign dump trucks to specific jobs based on location, availability, and priority.
b. Create and manage efficient delivery schedules to meet customer requirements.
c. Monitor driver activity and adjust schedules as needed to accommodate changes.
d. Communicate any challenges, changes, issues to the supervisor.
e. Accurately write up and log all new orders in the system for tracking and reporting purposes.
f. Follow up with new orders taken.
2. Customer Service:
a. Answer multiple incoming phone calls and provide information to customers or land drivers. b. Take new orders and confirm delivery details, including materials, quantities, and deadlines. c. Address and resolve customer inquiries, complaints, or issues promptly and professionally.
3. Administrative Tasks:
a. Take new orders from customers and confirm all delivery details (e.g., materials, quantities, locations, and deadlines).
b. Input job details into AS 400 software or tracking systems.
c. Email new orders to queries such as WRQ, CEMEX, TITAN, ETC. as new orders come in.
d. Prepare and distribute daily reports, including delivery logs and driver schedules.
e. Take new orders sent by COO (Chief Operating Officer) "Blake Simmons". (text or ca IIS).
f. Use SBL (standby list) to schedule all drivers in the roster.
g. When entering new orders into the schedule ensure all information is entered to facilitate the next day's work.
h. Log any daily anomalies or issues accordingly.
4. Driver Coordination / Operational monitoring:
a. By 7:30 AM check and confirm that all drivers are on-site and prepared for their assignments.
b. Provide drivers with clear job instructions and updates as necessary.
c. Maintain open communication with drivers to address any issues or changes in real time.
d. Report any delays, equipment issues, or changes to the schedule.
e. Get quarries updates hourly or sooner as needed.
5. Problem-Solving:
a. Handle unexpected delays, truck breakdowns, delays, or changes in orders with efficiency.
b. Identify and implement solutions to improve delivery processes and reduce downtime.
6. Compliance and Safety:
a. Ensure that all dispatch activities comply with company policies and local regulations.
b. Ensure all jobs get covered daily.
c. Review all trucks that may have an expired insurance (last 2 pages in daily schedules)
7. Punctuality and Reliability:
a. Be prompt and dependable, ensuring the smooth flow of operations throughout the workday.
b. All time off requests must be submitted following company policy. They are subject to review and approval. c. All vacation requests must be submitted following company policy. They are subject to review and approval.

d. Act as a reliable point of contact for drivers, customers, and management.
Qualifications:
1 . Previous experience in dispatching, logistics, or transportation is highly desirable.
2. Excellent communication and multitasking skills.
3. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
4. Ability to comply with scheduled hours, be dependable and punctual.
5. Fully Bilingual (Spanish and English).
Work Environment:
1 . Office-based with frequent communication with drivers, customers, and management (including field management)

3. Fast-paced environment requires focus, adaptability, and time management.
4. May require extended hours during peak seasons or emergencies.
