Job Overview:
We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Large Format Printing & CNC Technician to join our production team. This role is critical to our workflow, ensuring the file set up and high-quality prints produced set the stage for our framing team so that they can deliver on our promise, quality made to order framed artwork delivered fast. Key Responsibilities:
Operate & Maintain Equipment:
o Set up files in photoshop and/or Illustrator.
o Manage large format printing equipment including flatbed printers.
o Operate CNC machinery.
o Distribute workload to operators on time.
Production & Quality Control:
o Produce and print high-quality artwork according to specifications.
o Review prints as they are produced to ensure they meet company quality standards.
o Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform routine maintenance to optimize uptime and minimize waste.
Creative & Technical Collaboration:
o Collaborate with team members from various departments to integrate creative ideas into production while maintaining efficiency.
Safety & Organization:
o Adhere to all safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized workstation.
o Report low supplies and any equipment issues promptly.
Physical Demands:
o Manual Dexterity: Demonstrated ability to perform detailed manual tasks with precision.
o Color Discrimination: Strong capability to accurately distinguish and match colors.
o Physical Strength: Able to safely lift up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications:
Experience in a large format printing facility, sign shop, or art production environment; frame shop experience is a bonus.
Proficiency with large format, flatbed printers and CNC machinery.
At least 1 to 2 years of experience with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
A strong team player with a creative, problem-solving mindset.
Tech-savvy with an aptitude for learning new software and equipment functionalities.
