Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Welder/Steel Fabricator to perform welding, fabrication, and assembly tasks related to the production of precast concrete forms, structural steel components, and other related products. The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in various welding techniques and have experience in steel fabrication, ensuring that all products meet quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform welding and fabrication tasks on steel and other materials according to project specifications.
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and schematics to determine welding and fabrication requirements.
Cut, grind, and prepare metal components for welding.
Assemble and install steel structures and concrete molds.
Inspect and test welds to ensure strength and durability.
Operate welding and fabrication machinery, such as MIG, TIG, and Stick welders, as well as plasma cutters and grinders.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety guidelines and company protocols.
Ensure all work is completed on time and within budget, maintaining a high standard of quality.
Collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure smooth project workflow.
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on welding equipment.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a welder and steel fabricator (minimum of 2 years preferred).
Strong knowledge of welding techniques and fabrication processes.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical documents.
Proficiency in operating welding equipment (MIG, TIG, Stick) and related tools.
Experience in working with a variety of metals, including steel, aluminum, and stainless steel.
High school diploma or equivalent (Welding Certification or technical school training preferred).
