GL Staffing is seeking a skilled Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various welding techniques and the ability to read and interpret schematics. This role involves fabricating and assembling metal components for construction projects, ensuring high-quality standards are met. The Welder will work primarily on construction sites, utilizing equipment such as cranes and forklifts to transport materials as needed.
Monday Thru Friday from 6:30 am until 3:00 pm
Payrate: $22
Background check and Drug test are required
Duties
Sets up and operates TIG welding equipment (stud welder and oxy/acetylene torch) to fabricate production materials.
· Welds light gauge metal in a uniform and consistent manner.
· Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
· Maintain a constant visual on parts and supplies stored on the shop floor.
Good working knowledge of warehousing, shipping, production, and inventory control.
· Ability to work under pressure and within deadlines both independently and within a cross-functional team environment.
Experience
· High School Diploma or equivalent.
· 2 – 5 years’ experience using a torch set, any other metal working experience helpful.
· Must be mechanically inclined and good with hand tools.
· Ability to read blueprints, specs, and machine sheets.
