We have an open position for a dependable Handyman/Porter position at a new commercial office property that will be opening
Duties include daily lobby cleaning, basic troubleshooting of building systems as needed, light grounds keeping, coordination of contractors for service calls, preventative maintenance, etc. Occasional painting, drywall repairs, solving basic electrical and plumbing issues, as well as ensuring interior and exterior structural components are safe and in good condition. Basic HVAC knowledge a plus.
Responsibilities:
Daily lobby cleaning.
Drywall repairs and painting projects as needed (interior/exterior).
Coordinate and escort contractors for repairs and/or preventative maintenance for electrical, plumbing, life safety, and HVAC.
Identify and report the need for major repairs.
Grounds maintenance.
Tenant Communication
Respond to emergency calls (either during or outside of regular working hours).
Special Projects as assigned
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED certificate preferred
2 years experience in similar working environment
Has a passion and pride for a safe and clean environment.
Able to lift at least 50 lbs.
Familiarity with basic hand and power tools.
Reliable transportation
Ability to work independently
25-30 hour work week, Monday through Friday
