This position is responsible for the overall care and maintenance of the landscape and grounds surrounding residential and/or commercial properties. The ideal candidate is passionate about outdoor work, possesses a strong work ethic, and is capable of performing a wide range of landscaping tasks with an emphasis on creating and maintaining healthy and aesthetically pleasing outdoor spaces.
Duties and responsibilities
Perform groundskeeping tasks such as mowing, trimming, edging, and fertilizing lawns.
Plant flowers, grass, shrubs, and bushes, and ensure their healthy growth and vibrancy.
Apply pesticides or other solutions to control pests like mosquitos, wasps, and ticks.
Trim overgrown limbs, hedges, and leaves and remove weeds and dead plants.
Maintain and repair structures such as fountains, fences, walkways, and other landscape features.
Conduct general maintenance duties like sweeping walkways, removing debris, and installing lawn furniture.
Operate and maintain a variety of tools and equipment safely, including lawnmowers, leaf blowers, hedge trimmers, and shovels.
Perform seasonal tasks, such as removing snow and ice during winter months.
Collaborate effectively with team members and follow instructions from supervisors.
