A leading veterinary medical laboratory is seeking a department head of Microbiology.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology or related field
Certification as a Medical Technologist in all areas
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Minimum one year of microbiology lab experience
Knowledge of biochemistry and serology and lab instrumentation
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills Speak fluent English and Spanish.
Knowledge of chemistry, hematology and serology
Reside in Miami area
Responsivities:
To lead lab operations. Including culture processing, identification. and antimicrobial susceptibility testing.
Monitor quality control and quality assurance process.
Maintain inventory, troubleshoot equipment issues and manage scheduling.
Collaborate with veterinarians and lab director on test interpretation and workflow optimization
