Now Hiring: Sushi Chef – Belly Fish (Miami, Coral Gables area)
Belly Fish is looking for highly skilled Sushi Chefs to join our team in Coral Gables.
We are a very successful, fast-growing restaurant group backed by experienced founders and investors, and we're looking for talented chefs who are passionate about their craft and want to grow with us.
✅ Requirements:
Minimum 3 years of experience working with sushi in upscale restaurants
- Strong knife skills (slicing fish for nigiri, sashimi, maki, etc.)
- Experience breaking down and filleting fish (salmon, tuna, hamachi, etc.)
- Knowledge of food safety regulations (valid food manager's license preferred)
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- Punctual, clean (works clean), organized, and able to perform under pressure
✅ Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect fish deliveries for quality and freshness
- Clean, filet, pin bone, slice, and properly store fish
- Prepare sushi dishes following our restaurant standards (quality, portion, presentation, safety)
- Support day-to-day kitchen tasks, including prep lists, sauce and garnish preparation
- Maintain a clean, organized work station at all times
- Support the team with a positive, solutions-oriented attitude
- Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for long periods
