Position Summary

This is a responsible professional position which requires a certification by the Behavior Analysis Certification Board that is current and in good standing as a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), Board Certified Associate Behavior Analyst (BCaBA), or Florida Certified Behavior Analyst (FL-CBA). An employee in this position will be required to drive/travel to execute their duties in the consumers’ homes or places of service delivery and is responsible for performing the following:

The Work You Will Do

Responsible for overall monitoring of progress through face-to-face visits, direct observation of consumers and their Behavior Plan implementation by staff, interviews with staff, and review of data for consumers placed on High Watch or those otherwise identified by State Office Intensive Behavior Analyst Oversight Coordinator, the Regional Senior Behavior Analyst, the Clinical Regional Program Supervisor, Local Review Committee (LRC) or the Region Office ROM or DROM. In addition to conducting monitoring in the consumers’ living settings and other places of service delivery, the employee in this position is responsible for providing follow-up, technical assistance, and support to ensure that the individuals receiving intensive behavioral services on High Watch and those otherwise identified become stable and the placement is successful. Duties include working with the Regional Senior Behavior Analyst/LRC Chair and the provider to identify issues and solve problems or concerns that are negatively impacting consumer progress and ensure rapid implementation of plans to stabilize the placement and protect health and safety.

Completes the monitoring of those designated as High Watch, as well as all others assigned, within the time frames and develops immediate action plans in consultation with those mentioned above, including the State Office Intensive Behavior Analyst Oversight Coordinator.

Completes surveys specific to consumer’s watch status and documents in the appropriate databases. Provides follow up by assessing corrective action for completion, and reporting lack of compliance to the Regional Senior Behavior Analyst, as well as other appropriate regional office staff.

Conducts onsite designations for Intensive Behavior (IB) and Behavior Focus (BF) group homes on an annual basis and provides follow up monitoring visits for compliance with requirements. The frequency of visits and follow up will be determined based on the providers’ deficiencies related to the designation requirements. Records written information on the tools and job aids that were created for the purpose of collecting data and information for designation reviews and shares this information with the Regional Senior Behavior Analyst as well as other regional staff; participates as a part of the team in the final designation decision.

Provides technical assistance to each provider, as required. Attends and participates in workstream and behavioral unit staff meetings and participates in the monthly behavioral services calls with State Office.

Reviews LRC meeting minutes, behavior plans and data and attends LRC meetings on a periodic basis for consumers on High Watch and others being monitored, when appropriate. Attends any other meetings, when requested, in which behavioral expertise is required. Assists the Regional Senior Behavior Analyst/LRC Chairs in collecting and reporting information and data regarding the LRC process to regional and state office staff.

Provides follow up on Abuse Reports, Incident Reports, and any other reports as assigned by the Regional Incident Management System (IMS) Coordinator.

Performs other assigned duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Valid driver’s license or other efficient means of transportation to travel for work purposes.

Background Screening Requirement
