We are looking to hire an experienced Dental Assistant to join our team!
Key Responsibilities:
1. Patient Care:
- Prepare treatment rooms and assist the dentist during dental procedures.
- Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment.
- Take and record patient medical histories and vital signs.
- Provide chairside assistance, including passing instruments and providing suction.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions.
2. Administrative Support:
- Schedule patient appointments and manage the office calendar.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Handle billing and insurance claims as necessary.
- Assist with front desk duties, including answering phones and greeting patients.
3. Infection Control and Safety:
- Adhere to strict infection control protocols and sterilization procedures.
- Ensure the dental office is clean and organized at all times.
- Monitor and restock supplies as needed.
4. Team Collaboration:
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
- Foster a positive and supportive work environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- EFDA certified (Expanded Function Dental Assistant)
- Radiology certified
- Bilingual in English & Spanish
- People-friendly / great interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and excellent multitasking abilities
- Proficiency in treatment coordination
- Knows how to place implants
