Sr. Java/Ruby on Rails Developer

Description MUST BE ABLE TO WORK ON-SITE IN Clearwater, FL. We are offering a contract to permanet hire opportunity for a Sr. Java/Ruby on Rails Developer role in Clearwater, Florida. You will be joining a team in the telecommunications industry, working in a hybrid work model with the flexibility of working from home 2 to 4 days per week depending on company fit and skill match. Responsibilities: Develop server-side service applications as well as web-based applications Utilize Java Struts framework, Ruby Rails, and Sinatra frameworks for application development Maintain fluency in Javascript and CSS for effective client-side scripting Work both independently and collaboratively with a small team Handle and process complex business logic Utilize Atlassian Jira for efficient project management Develop and manage API functionalities Engage in agile scrum methodologies for project development Implement Cloud Technologies and AB testing for optimal application performance Utilize Oracle for effective database management.Requirements Applicants should possess a minimum of 7 years of detail oriented experience as a Java/Ruby on Rails Developer. Proficiency in Java and Ruby on Rails is imperative for this role. Candidates must be comfortable working with Atlassian Jira. It is essential that applicants have a firm understanding and experience in Business Logic. The role requires proficiency in Client Side Scripting. Knowledge and hands-on experience with Cloud Technologies is necessary. The ability to conduct AB Testing is a significant requirement for this role. Applicants should be able to work effectively within an Agile Scrum environment. API Development skills are crucial for this position. Candidates with experience in Oracle will be strongly considered.
