Lead a team at the Clearwater Aerospace site that applies its expertise and knowledge in finding innovative, cost-effective means to improve production control output and continuous improvements working with Operations, Engineering, Operations AME and Sourcing. You will drive the strategic direction and initiatives that ensures product is coordinated, monitored and completes the production cycle according to schedule.RESPONSIBILITIES: Monitor, assist, and improve all aspects of Safety, Quality, Productivity, and Delivery. Ensure Safety throughout the department. Eliminate, prevent, countermeasure all quality issues. Ensure daily and weekly output goals are met. Initiate improvement actions to reduce the department spending. Responsible for all departmental metrics. Drive attendance within the department. Coach Peers, Group leaders and operators through effective feedback methods to encourage good work habits. Supervises and provides direction to Production Assemblers and Test Technicians. Establishes goals, evaluates performance against established goals and objectives for results and behaviors. Provides regular feedback, coaching, and development plans for each team member. Takes performance management actions as appropriate. Provides training to team members as required to improve/maintain skills. Promotes by example the use of Six Sigma Tools and HOS methods that will properly solve problems. Provides new employee orientation and new employee introductions for the Group Leaders.Major Activities: Has thorough knowledge of all departmental operations and the ability to demonstrate process proficiency. Drives execution of Lean Principles and Honeywell Operating System (HOS) initiatives. Initiate and implement Standardized Work, specifications and characteristics of the Department processes to ensure that quality is built into each of the production processes. Searches for continuous improvement opportunities and seeks out to eliminate all waste. Assists WFS with coordination of daily work assignments. Facilitates teams in achieving organizational goals and objectives through removing roadblocks and obstacles. Drives cross training to best support Quality, Productivity, Cost and Schedule commitments. Communicates daily with other shifts and their counterparts regarding Safety, Quality, Delivery, Workload capacity. Facilitates problem resolution between internal process team members, support groups, and customers. Supports all functional organizations, programs, process teams, and factory operations on issues related to the build, integration, and test of hardware. Manages to Operation metrics and provides feedback on performance to plan. Manages special projects, as assigned, that support location Operations, Engineering and Product Assurance, Program Management and other Process Teams on issues related to the build of hardware to customer specifications.U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.MUST HAVE: Due to DoD Security Requirements, US Citizenship is required. Minimum of 5 years’ experience manufacturing environment. Must exhibit team leadership skills and understand team dynamics. High school diploma or equivalentWE VALUE: Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred. Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience preferred. Accountable for managing and maintaining allocated budget. Good oral and written communications skills. Good work ethic. Six Sigma Lean manufacturing experience is a plus. Understands the use of various office software products and a working knowledge of the shop floor control system for build processes.
